The Domus Clugiae has a very special history, it began life as a voluntary association created by a group of friends working in education. The name Opera Baldo was chosen to promote the memory of Caterina Baldo, a very important woman for Chioggia who, between the two wars, devoted herself totally to the city's abandoned children.
